- To understand how degenerative disorders of the spine develop and exhibit themselves on imaging.
- To understand how inflammatory disorders of the spine develop and exhibit themselves on imaging.
- To recognize inflammatory and degenerative disorders in the differential diagnosis of spinal disease.
Course Description
This chapter will go into depth on how degenerative and inflammatory disorders of the spine develop and how to recognize them using general radiology, CT, PET/CT, and MRI. Some of the disorders reviewed are rheumatoid arthritis (RA), spodyloarthropathies (SpA), ankylosing spondylitis (AS), psoriatic arthritis, reactive arthritis, spondylodiscitis (aseptic), among others.
