Course Description And Objectives:

Objectives

  • Understand PET/MRI in comparison to PET/CT.
  • Gain an understanding of the challenges of PET/MRI in the Lung.
  • Learn techniques to compensate for breathing mismatch
  • Gain the knowledge of different atlas/mapping techniques.
  • Understand what MR-CT learning is and how it can be used in the future.
  • Learn about potential future strategies.

Course Description

This CE course describes how PET/MRI can be used to perform attenuation estimation in the lung.  Learn the techniques to compensate for breathing mismatch as well as other challenges of PET/MRI of the lung.  You will also learn about different atlas/mapping techniques and how MR-CT learning could help with PET/MRI studies of the lungs and could contribute to lung reconstruction in the future.

This activity may be available in multiple formats or from different sponsors. A self-learning activity can be completed only once per biennium.
