Structured Education

Course Description And Objectives:
Objectives
- Gain a better understanding of the use of, multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI), ultrasound elastography and contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) for imaging of the prostate gland.
- Understand how new MRI and US techniques can be used together and how the two correlate in the diagnosis of prostate cancer (PCA).
- Gain the ability to explain how MRI and US can eliminate the need to a prostate biopsy or if a biopsy is needed how the new imaging techniques can result in a superior biopsy sample.
Course Description
Our course on identifying prostate cancer using US and MRI, will provide you with a better understanding of prostate cancer and what modern imaging techniques are being used to diagnosis and successfully biopsy possible prostate lesions. You will gain a better understanding of the use of multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI), ultrasound elastography and contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) and how these modalities and techniques correlate together to improve and continue to improve on the diagnosis of prostate cancer (PCA).
This activity may be available in multiple formats or from different sponsors. A self-learning activity can be completed only once per biennium.
