Course Description
This chapter is dedicated to the digestive system that that is responsible for all the food we eat to be broken down into nutrients and other essentials that our bodies need to function every day. Refresh your knowledge with the functional anatomy of the organs and accessory organs of the digestive system and the processes and control of ingestion, propulsion, mechanical digestion, chemical digestion, absorption, and defecation. Review the roles the liver, pancreas, and gallbladder play in the digestion and break down of the foods we eat and how they are an important part of the digestive process.
