- Identify the cranial suture lines, the cranial fossae, and the openings in the skull.
- Discuss the vertebral column and regional variations in its bony components and curvatures.
- Describe the components of the thoracic cage.
- Discuss the embryonic development of the axial skeleton.
Course Description
As a refresher of Axial Skeletal Anatomy this CE Course defines the two major subdivisions of the skeletal system: Axial Skeleton and Appendicular Skeleton. Quickly refresh your knowledge on the bony structures of the skull, cranial suture lines, cranial fossae, skull openings and how these structures are formed during embryonic development. Also refresh your understanding of the bony spinal column and thoracic cage anatomy including it components, curvatures, and embryonic development.
